"But We Didn't Know." Oh, Professor, We Beg to Differ.

You, Ms. Oster, and your finger-wagging, shame-mongering ilk weren’t listening to the world experts who were showing you just how to save most everyone who was dying of COVID.

Ooh.

What’s this from Professor Emily Oster, an economist from Brown University, writing in The Atlantic?

“We need to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about COVID.”

We do, Professor? Oh. OK. Well…let’s see about that, shall we?

You begin your plea for pandemic amnesty because you say ‘we’ got so many things wrong about COVID.

“But the thing is: We didn’t know,” you wrote. (Italics yours.)

We didn’t? Oh yes we did. We knew. AND YOU DID TOO. The problem was, Ms. Oster, you and your finger-wagging, shame-mongering ilk weren’t listening. You were all far too busy on social media test-driving punitive, dictatorial edicts against all who went against official “COVID-speak.”

Some of the “COVID-speakers’” greatest hits:

“You can’t go into public parks or outdoor gathering places without a mask…”

“There should be vaccine requirements for the things you want to do in public…”

“The unvaxxed shouldn’t be allowed to receive medical care or take up space in ICUs or hospitals…”

“Doctors who don’t follow official COVID guidance should lose their licenses…”

“The unvaxxed should be ‘relocated’… like to a leper camp or something…”

“But the thing is: We didn’t know.” (Is that a new mantra of official ‘COVID-speak’ meant to elicit sympathy so you’ll get a pass on all of the oppression and horrors that occurred?)

We knew. Oh yes, Professor, we — and YOU — knew. An now you come with an olive branch in hand without first apologizing — with a full throat — for co-authoring the scorched earth terrorist campaign against all who would not comply with your pronouncements and mandates? Because you “didn’t know” is NOT an apology. It’s a lie. And a big one.

You knew.

Myriad casualties were suffered…and are still accumulating. Loss of livelihoods. The death of free speech. Fraudulent science that continues to imperil public health. The demise of ethical medicine. Outcasting and demonizing all who would not swallow whole the mandates and lies they were being force-fed.

But let’s focus for a moment, shall we, on how not listening— and worse, not ACTING on what we knew — cost millions of lives.

Ms. Oster, do you remember the good ol’ days, when we used to seek out (and actually listen to) the world’s foremost experts in health and medicine— and actually turn to them for urgent guidance on emerging public health threats? Seems like a pretty logical thing to do, wouldn’t you agree?

So for argument’s sake, let’s say that….oh, I don’t know…Dr. Paul Marik, the nation’s most highly published Critical Care physician (and second in the world), went to health authorities in the earliest days of the pandemic (March, 2020) and handed them a way to save critically ill COVID patients—who were dying by the thousands in the nation’s hospitals. Let’s say that the protocol he handed them was already saving nearly every patient in the ICUs where it was being used. (It was.) And let’s imagine that the protocol was even walked into the White House on four separate occasions— with its emissaries petitioning for its urgent, widespread use. (It was.)

And then, let’s say—again for argument’s sake—that he was ignored. Dismissed. Canceled. CENSORED. (He was.) And that the small group of other highly respected and published physician/scholars who quickly joined him to delve even deeper into the science for WHY it was working was likewise kicked to the curb and CENSORED. (They were.)

With so many thousands dying everyday at the height of the pandemic, why would anyone move to muzzle well-respected doctors who offered a science-based, demonstrably effective protocol to quickly stop the dying? And if the dying was curtailed, would all of the edicts and mandates have even been necessary?

There was a reason they were silenced…and it was rooted in pure evil. Read on.

So let’s continue. Now, imagine that, over the course of the pandemic, this same group of physicians and researchers became the first…

…to recognize that COVID was a steroid-responsive disease

…to identify the respiratory pneumonia caused by COVID as “organizing pneumonia.”

…to identify COVID-19 as an airborne transmitted disease

…to show that cleansing the pharyngeal space with virucidals reduces the COVID-19 viral load.

…to show that fluvoxamine’s antiviral properties were effective in the treatment of COVID-19.

…to report that anti-coagulation (blood thinners like Heparin) reduced the risk of clotting in COVID-19 patients

…to show that there was a powerful data signal from rapidly emerging studies across the world that ivermectin had the capacity to prevent and treat COVID-19.

(They were.)

And what if, as a result of discovering and widely sharing these critical COVID “firsts”, they were labeled as “fringe” doctors? (They were.)

Oh yeah…and what if they presented mountains of scientific data pointing to the massive dangers posed to human life and health by the COVID mRNA vaccines — and they were excoriated (by folks like YOU)? (They were.)

So what do you think would have happened if all of the above occurred?

What WOULD have happened is what DID happen—BUT DID NOT HAVE TO HAPPEN.

Over one-million people died in the U.S. from COVID—nearly 75-80% unnecessarily. 

Because Dr. Paul Marik, Dr. Pierre Kory and the physicians of the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) refused to be guided by public health policies that were literally killing people, their peerless pedigree in the field of Critical Care medicine —and their ethical “patients-first” integrity—  were strapped to the back of a wagon to be demoniacally dragged through the streets until they were thoroughly mangled into oblivion.

The fix was in. Of course it was. (You knew THAT too, didn’t you?)

There were vaccine$ to $ell. Novel drug$ to be $old. Profit$ to $core. Deal$ to be $igned.

That meant that any health care provider — or any person for that matter— bucking official “COVID speak” was only in the way of their grand plans.

Hmmm…wondered the conspirators. How to get rid of the feckless dissidents who won’t obey? Geez, who the f**k cares about people when trainloads of untold riches are chugging down the tracks heading straight for us? 

What to do…what to do…

Ah, yes. Of course!

Erect gallows on the altar of censorship. 

Place a noose tightly around the neck of Free Speech — with the deep blessings and consent of all in collusion with the scheme:  Government agencies, elected officials, pharmaceutical companies, corporate interests, social networks, the media (including editors of formerly esteemed medical and research journals), and more.

As it pleads and argues for its release, Free Speech hears the pull of the pin — and the floor falls away. All that remains are the spoils of its tragic demise: Unnecessary deaths, shunning, mockery, discrimination, defamation, loss of livelihood, mangled reputations, contempt, banishment, autocratic mandates, tyrannical coercion, fraudulent science, isolation, alarm and peril.

And so, Ms. Oster, asking for a pass on all of this “because we didn’t know” is a NO— because it’s a damned lie. Start to tell the truth and maybe we will talk. Write an essay in The Atlantic that lays out a detailed acknowledgment — a no-holds-barred confession— of the baseless, destructive tyranny in which you knowingly and all too willingly participated; followed by an apology to all irreparably harmed…including those renowned, lifesaving physicians who lost their jobs, their licenses and their reputations.

But save your biggest apology for the millions who who lost their loved ones unnecessarily to foes far more evil than the virus itself: GREED and POWER. In the end, greed and lust for power killed millions more than the virus ever could have.

Then you write, “In the face of so much uncertainty, getting something right had a hefty element of luck.” Oh no, ma’am. Peddle that pompous pap elsewhere. That is nothing more than bovine excrementa. There was no “luck” to this at all. These infinitely brilliant doctors knew just what to do to save hundreds of thousands of lives. (And they did in cities and countries around the world where people mattered more than money to public health officials who enacted astoundingly effective treatment policies.) They knew. Ms. Oster, you and others who sacrificed your souls to propagate the devilish agenda, were wrong. So wrong. Deadly, deadly wrong.

Then, you had the gross audacity to say this: “We can leave out the willful purveyors of actual misinformation while forgiving the hard calls that people had no choice but to make with imperfect knowledge.”

Oh my God. Do you even hear yourself?

When you say, “willful purveyors of misinformation”— why did you not exclude folks like the FLCCC and many others throughout the world whose work is ethically and medically aligned with rigorous science? Are they undeserving of even an ounce of grace—or “amnesty”? WHAT???

Your posse—self- appointed judge, jury and executioners — ruled that the misinformationists’ “misdeeds” (which includes saving lives) called for the raising of the gallows. Whereas YOU (and others aligned with censorship and the stripping of individual freedoms) deserve compassion, understanding and an unconditional pass. Nope. I’ll take a hard pass instead. You will get zero forgiveness for what you say were “hard calls”, when they were “calls” that were actually made quite easily—for the vile love of money and control.

Shame on you. You and your legions of conscienceless censors and malleable monstrous minions continue their reign of oppression and censorship with neither remorse nor regrets. The dead be damned. (Again.)

“Amnesty” is asking for absolution without apology. NO. NO. NO.

So apologize now. Then we’ll talk about forgiveness. But do not expect us to forget. We cannot — as the deep scars of the losses sustained are ever-present, visceral reminders of the need to be relentlessly vigilant against the likes of the evil that was — and is still— being shamelessly wrought against so many innocents.
